Brown stew
- 1 lb. boneless stew
- 2 carrots
- 3 potatoes
- 1 bell pepper
- salt, pepper, and celery to taste
Fry meat brown, add vegetables. Cover with water and let simmer 1 hour or until meat is tender.
Corn beef deluxe
Turn oven at (375ºF). Grease 9 inch baking pan. Cook for 5 minutes ¼ cup chopped onions in 2 tablespoons butter. Blend in 2 tablespoons flour, 34/ teaspoon salt, ½ teaspoon pepper, then stir in ¾ cup of liquid from boiled potatoes. Boil 1 minute. Add 1 ¼ cup Pet™ milk, 1 cup grated cheese, heat slowly, stirring constantly. Arrange in layers 2 ¼ cup diced corn beef, 2 ¼ cup cooked potatoes, 3 hard boiled eggs sliced. Cover with cheese sauce, cover with bread crumbs and butter and bake until brown.
Pig in poke
- 1 ½ cup pancake flour
- ½ cup corn meal
- 2 tablespoon sugar
- 1 ¼ cup milk
- 8 wieners
Mix ingredients into a batter and roll wieners in batter and fry in deep fat as you would donuts.
