Sea foam frosting
- 2 egg whites
- pinch salt
- 5 tablespoons water
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- ½ cup b. sugar, packed
Place egg whites, B. sugar, W. sugar salt and water in top double boiler. Beat with rotary egg beater until well mixed. Cook over rapidly boiling water, beating constantly with egg beater, about 7 minutes or until frosting will stand up in peaks. Remove from fire, add vanilla. Beat with egg beater until thick enough to spread.
Spread between and on top and sides of cooled cake. Pecans may be used as a garnish.
Pearl Robinson icing
- ½ box seeded raisins
- 1 cup nuts
- 1 teaspoon butter
- 1 1 lb. box 4x sugar
- ½ cup B. sugar
- ½ cup cream
Chop raisins and nuts and put in last after it is cooked till it dissolves, add flavor (vanilla)
Cranberry pineapple filling
- 1 lb cranberries
- 1 can pineapple
- 2 pkg. lemon Jello
- 1 tablespoon sugar
Grind cranberries and sugar. Mix all ingredients together and let congeal.
