Macaroni and ham escallop
- 18 sticks macaroni
- 1 cup minced ham
- 2 tablespoons butter
- Buttered crumbs
- 1 ½ cup milk
- 1 tablespoon flour
- 1 tablespoon chopped pepper
- grated cheese
Boil macaroni sticks in salted water until tender. Alternate in backing dish with the ham and cream sauce (made from butter, flour and milk) seasonings. Top with crumbs, bake about 45 minutes.
Macaroni and cheese (Mrs. Cocker)
- 1 cup macaroni
- ½ lb. velveto cheese
- 1 egg
- 1 cup milk
- ½ stick butter
- 3 cup water
- 1 tb. salt
Boil macaroni in 3 cup salty water until tender. Drain in casserole. Beat egg in cup of milk, pour over macaroni after adding cheese and butter alternatingly.
